What can I say? I'm smitten. Just over ten years ago I married my high school sweetheart. Ten years later I'm absolutely beside myself when he has to be out of town for a few days...why? Because the guy I fell in love with...the tall, handsome guy with a passion for what's right and a heart to pursue the things of God no matter what...has continued to steal my heart day after day, year after year. And at the point in marriage when so many people decide they just have to settle in and "put up" with the person they married, I am so head over heels in love with my husband that my heart still does a flip when I hear his voice calling from CA. Is he perfect? No. Am I perfect. Certainly not. Do we have a secret ingredient for our marriage? Not really. It's a lot of work, actually. All I know is that the man I married loves me so much and pours his heart out for me and my little boys over and over, and I'm left wondering how I got so lucky.

So for all of you looking for that someone special, let me just say that waiting for the right one is so absolutely worth it...and I'm living proof. There is a lot of "good" out there, but there aren't that many "greats". Wait for the great and maybe someday you'll be the one blogging about how lovesick you are for your sweetheart.
