We started in 1994 when our first Website went online. Everyone was and is with the new Website a volunteer. Our concept was easy, promote anyone and give people good information to make informative choices. Our message reached out and touched over 4 million readers a month. In September of 1994 I can remember how excited everyone was when we hit the 100th visitor.
The Website has gone under very big changes starting in December 2007 and is now fully redesigned in Web 2.0. There are many parts to the Website including 1 for politics, 1 for Independent musicians, 1 for podcasts, 1 for Independent Films and 2 other sections now ready. 1 section is ready for "Great Places on the Web" and the other Community section we are asking for ideas. Please drop by and leave us your opinion. Logging in is simple as you give your name (real or not) with an email address. None of the Websites contain "cookies" unless you are posting an article and that is only to keep you "logged in".
No other information is asked and your email address is for an automated response if you forget your password. We have no way of keeping any information, other than our database of articles etc, so you will be directed to reset your password.
Feel free to sign up and post some Independent music or film by "embedding" the song or movie. We do not have space nor the money to host this material. We suggest Google, Virb, Yahoo video as well as YouTube to host your video. Any site that allows the "embed" feature is great. Articles can be cut and past once you are logged in. One of us will check it to make sure the coding is correct.
Of course we welcome anyone who would not mind helping as a volunteer :)
When you sign up and log in you have access to all of the sections. Of course you can view any of it by simply viewing as nothing is hidden.
