I grew up in South Texas on the Rio Grande River. After graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps for a 4 year active contract.

I spent 1 year on the island of Okinawa, Japan, then 2-1/2 years in Southern California where I settled in 1997 after being honorably discharged. Currently I live in Southern California and work for a Fortune 500 company.

In my spare time I love to do photography, event media management, graphic design, and website development. I run my own yacht racing publication; Inside Yachting - www.insideyachting.com , and also my own side company; Blast Reach Communications - www.blastreach.com . I co-founded a photography group for the Inland Empire in 2006; www.inlandempiredslr.org .

I also love to volunteer my time for a number of charities including The Children's Clinic of Long Beach and City of Hope Cancer Research.
