13 years into my marriage God interrupted our lives with the placement of 3 foster kids into our home. We had waited a very long time to start a family, and adoption seemed like a "good" thing to do. We had NO idea what we were getting into when we started this journey, and that we would go from 0 to 3 kids in a flash. People thought we were crazy but the minute we met them we couldn't say no. At the time they were 21 mos., 3 and 6. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE these kids, but it has only been through the unfailing strength of my husband J.R. and the unfailing love of God that I can do this. The kids are Maria (8), Angelito (5), and Zian (4). They've been in our home a little over 2 years and it's been an amazing journey of ups and downs...I want to be a support for other people who want to or have adopted, and an advocate for adopting abused and neglected children from this country.
