About

"Hello I am 65 arrogant self-focused elements that mesh! I am hip hop in the fuckin flesh!"

1865 : a self-produced act expressing through melodically aggressive beats and thought provoking lyrical content emboding the the spirit of the Wu-Tang Clan, Del the Funkey Homosapien, Outkast, The Sexpistols and Curtis Mayfield, all smooshed in one. His most recent self-released project "The Sodium Girl Ep" hit #29 on the National CMJ Hip Hop charts and has been added heavely to college and non-commercial radio across the nation. With a highly charged stage presence, there's no question to why after every show people flood the merch booth...1865 has this raw energy to him. Having been opening buzz for acts such as The Roots, 9th Wonder, Murs, and The Pharcyde, 1865 is making music out of the feelings and sensations he gets from the city of San Francisco. Check out the website and get in touch.

"I was able to listen to the 1865 a lot over the last few days, and I gotta say, I'm feelin it! Like you said, he has that new sort of feel which is exactly what I was lookin for! He has an interesting flow, and the production on his album is solid! I'll definitely be spinning
tracks from "The Sodium Girl EP" on my show!"
