Akira Kurosawa movies (I'm a sucker for Samurai flicks), anything Terry Gilliam, et al; The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Jabberwocky, Brazil, if it's Gilliam, I dug it. Eric the Viking, which I thought was Gilliam, but is actually Terry Jones. Lost in Translation. Big Trouble in Little China. Cohen Bros. movies, particularly Raising Arizona. Leon, the Professional. Vanilla Sky (how did that do so badly at the box office?)
Music changes from day to day, and sometimes from hour to hour. Today it's Iggy Pop and LL Cool J. It was Elvis Costello and Boards of Canada yesterday. They Might Be Giants anytime I feel like hearing something silly. I need to make special mention of X; the first band my parents, which naturally made them my favorite band and they've remained as such for the last 25 years or so.
The Once and Future King by T.H. White, The Sword at Sunset by Rosemarie Sutcliffe. Yes, I'm aware; I have a thing for Arthurian Legend. Grendel by John Gardener (it's an account from the monster's point of view). Siddartha by Herman Hesse. Anything by Neil Gaiman, or Alan Moore (KIMOTA!). I'm currently revisiting Herman Melville
