HISTORY:

Three guys came together as friends to live their shared love ... - music. A new rocktrio was born in winter 2001 to praise the unsung desert artrock. After forming the Band as the typical rockquartet (drum, bass, git, vocal), Iguana have been going through six fast, loud, ineffable, marvellous years of burning down stages. They shared the stages with Los Natas, Gas Giant, Magnified Eye, El Caco, The Sewergrooves, The Quill, Deville, Misdemeanor, Spoiler, Dollhouse, Colour Haze, Volt and many many more. Iguana embodies the never ending story of love in groovy riffin', psychedelicious jaming and dodgy rhythms!!!

The onlinemag Monolith describes their CD "Wheeler Dealer" as "uplifting stoner groovy riffs that takes you high!"(www.monolith.gr). Stonerrock.com ascribes Iguana "the skills to make a name for themselves in the ever-crowded stoner rock genre" (www.stonerrock.com). With their new CD-EP "B|L|U|E|S" of 2008 they will blow you away with a sound like the desert sesions at it's best. In 2007 Alexander Loerinczy joined Iguana as the new singer. Known from outstanding bands like "Dolly's Meat" or "Holze", Alexander opens up totaly new speheres for Iguana!

REVIEW OF THE LATEST OUTCOM: CD-EP "B|L|U|E|S":

Daredevil Records about Iguana - B|L|U|E|S
IGUANA is since years one of the most important German bands on the live section. Their outputs couldn't hold that standard in the past, but with their new EP they will get a huge resonance. Believe me! They changed their sound a bit and they created a huge cocktail with Grunge, Stoner and 70's Psychedelic Rock.
A big plus is the new singer Alex (Dollys Meat, Holze) with his warm and emotional voice. On the opener BROKEN HALLELUJA you think Chris Cornell is back with his old brothers from Soundgarden. BROKEN HALLELUJA are 7 minutes Psychedelic 70's Rock at its best. This song could stand on the Soundgarden record too!
LOVE MANY TRUST FEW is another good example of Grunge Rock mixed with Stoner Rock. The guitars are full of fuzz and the voice is awesome again. UNITED SINKING ARCH is my personal favourite. The instrumental EASE was good too, but another highlight on that record is SUPER TUESDAY with a mighty groove, awesome vocals and a killer bass solo.
With the new singer (who plays guitar as well), the band is close to the top and if the new material and the next CD is as good as this stuff - the record will blow us away! The biggest surprise in this month!
