Welcome to the house of the 2nd mouse

two mice fell into a bucket full of cream.
The first mouse struggled for a short while but quickly gave up.
the " 2ND MOUSE " fought so furiously that he eventually churned the cream into butter, and crawled out.

Today , I am that 2nd mouse

As soon as i heard this , i knew it was perfect symbolism for tenacity and determination. Something that would cement my resolve and enable me to persevere.

I've been making music since about the age of 14 , so thats over 20 years ago.............however , I've been "seriously" making music for about 4/5 years now.
I grew up being a big big fan of depeche mode. Then when the acid house explosion hit us , I came across Detroit Techno and discovered Juan Atkins / Model 500 , Derrick May , Blake Baxter , and then I was listening to the likes of Dan Curtin, Luke Slater, Jeff Mills , Polygon window/Aphex twin , and most recently Balil/Plaid , Boards of Canada and a lot of independant IDM and electronica from M3RCK , John Tejada , Machine Drum , Plone , Frank Martiniq , Vesna etc.....
If its fresh and experimental , i'll listen to it.

2ndMOUSE is about attempting to push boundaries and fuse together sounds that were never intended to enjoy the same space , whilst bringing a smile to your face , or a tear to your eye. Watch this space.

I'm diggin' "Shangri-La" right now. I downloaded the album, but it's fun to listen here for some reason. "Circuit Relay" has a great groove. Can I say "House" around here without offending? I like it. "Last Night..." has a wonderful combination of pads and glitches, just as your promised to deliver with your music. Great work. "Machine Code" has such energy right from the beginning. "Mantis" is just really cool. Great chords progressions and accents. Oh wait......sooooooooo many more tracks to come! I'll keep listening, but stop commenting (I do need to get some work done at some point!).
I'm so glad I dropped in this morning!
