Ive been working on" Full of earth and stars" for about 2 months now , and although im happy with it , i feel that im really starting to get to a point where I know what im doing.
I've been making music since about age 16 , when i started with a casio sk1 , a yamaha portasound keyboard , one of those black flat tape recorders =) and a crappy microphone. The equipment was very basic , but i used it as best i could to make music which never was heard by anyone but me.
Then i progressed to a roland d-20 and a four track , where i got my first taste of multitrack recording with the d-20's 8 track sequencer.
I got my desktop around 2002 maybe , and ive been recording with that for about 6 years , in which ive had to recover from a few crashes , data losses , etc.....but the whole 6 years have been spent learning everything from EQ to composition.
The journey is never ever over , but after 6 years i feel now that ive reached a point where my own sound has emerged , and i can now begin honing it.
I've had ideas exploding out of me left right and centre.....to the point where i couldnt concentrate on perfecting tracks because there were always another 100 ideas queued behind it , and those ideas couldnt wait. The inspiration came thick and fast and at one stage i was making a track a day.
In retrospect , the quality wasnt there.........
With the release of " Full of earth and stars " , im now ready to raise the bar , and 2ndMOUSE will be releasing material from hereon in that is of a much higher calibre , in terms of production , and quality.
The best 2ndMOUSE music is yet to come !!
