Today I went to one of my favorite spots in Clemson called the cliffs. It's B-E-A-utiful! It's a half mile walk up a trail in the woods that ends up at a cliff overlooking Lake Hartwell. It's also a perfect spot to watch the sunset. I like to go there to admire God's beauty and spend time with Him. But today God revealed something to me as I was leaving. I realized that I go there with the intention of spending time with God, which I do, but then I leave and just leave God there (in a sense, I know that God is everywhere). But today I was listening to some worship music on my ipod while I was admiring the view. I was really into the song and having one of those God moments where I felt so connected. Then all of a sudden I got up and started walking back down the trail in the middle of the song. But as I was walking back I realized that God was saying "Don't leave Me here, take Me with you." I realized how much I have been cutting out time for God and trying to set up the situation when He is saying "Quit planning our dates, I am with you ALWAYS!" I thought it was cool...
