GodStop....Goddddd, Stoopppppp :)

Yesterday I explained real talk and tonight I will explain God stop moments. I learned about God stops in a Beth Moore study. Basically, a God stop moment is when something happens to you or you notice something and you just stop and realize that it was totally God. For example, Perry told the story of this dude a few weeks ago that didn't believe in God but was asked to pray the prayer "Jesus, if you are real, prove it. Amen." He said ok if God is not real then what's the danger in praying that? So as he was driving down I-85 one day he prayed the prayer "Jesus, if your real, prove it. Amen." Less than 5 minutes later he sees a billboard that said "I'm real. -Jesus" That is what you call a God stop moment where you just say "THAT was God."

I had a God stop moment today. Ever since I found out that Newspring was coming to Greenville, I have pictured my brother there receiving Jesus. He lives in Spartanburg now but is most likely moving to Greenville in the near future. He is starting to embrace this whole Christianity thing but does not attend church regularly. He has been to Newspring a few times and enjoys it but right now it is like an hour and 15 minute drive because he lives out in the boonies. So, the Greenville Newspring cannot get here soon enough. Anyways, I just found out a few days ago that Newspring secured the site for the Greenville campus. It is in the best possible location in Greenville and I know the building is going to be WAY too small (which is a good problem to have). Anyways, thats not the point of this story. Basically, I can see my brother coming to Newspring in Greenville, getting saved, finding a wifey (nice bonus), and just finding peace. I get so excited at the thought of it, but I guess being human I wonder if it is really going to happen. I have even stopped in the parking lot of that site and prayed for my lost family members, that they would find Jesus there.

Well, today I had a doctor's appointment in Greenville. My doctor's office is less than a mile from the site of the future Newspring. As I was getting off the interstate I could see the building. My first thought was to look for Newspring sign somewhere on the building or even one of those "coming soon: Newspring church signs." I didn't see that but I saw something that was even cooler to me and it was such a God stop moment!! The parking lot was filled with big, orange tractor trailers. I thought it was weird at first, but as I was driving by I was like wait...big, orange tractor trailer...I recognize those....SCHNEIDER TRUCKS! I'm not sure what the company is and no my family has nothing to do with it, but I always see Schneider trucks driving down the interstate and think "Hey, thats cool, I'm a Schneider." But they don't mean much to me on the interstate. But seeing the future Newspring parking lot filled with SEVEN Schneider trucks was freaking cool!! FIVE Schneiders have received Christ at Newspring so far (me, Dad, stepmom Gina, Uncle Bill, and cousin Tyler). Could there be two more Schneiders that will meet Jesus at Newspring (brother and wife)? That would be fine with me!! Either way, today got me REALLY excited about the fact that God is using Newspring to reach so many people and it has only begun!!! GOD, STOP, you are too good!!
