Yasujirō Ozu’s last film, and my favourite so far. This link goes to an extensive comparison of the available editions. I believe I’ll go with Criterion.
I ripped the above image off Madman’s desaturated desktop and tried to put some of the colour back; it really pops in the film. Which is all the stranger, since I tend to associate Ozu with black & white?

Chotto Suujin Taisen (aka NUMBER BATTLESSS) is a great little puzzler on DSiWare, that has (narrowly) beaten out Chotto Dr. Mario in gaming hours on my own DSi.
Your lesson for today, what do the two above games have in common? The ちょっと (chotto) at the start can be translated to “a bit” or “a little”. That’s right! Nintendo are only selling you little bits of games. (But they’re great little bits of games, though).
