things i am learning as i experience my first winter in the SC:

1. wear a coat if it is cold outside, it doesn't warm up in the afternoon.
2. wear socks or tights if it is 45 degrees outside. open toed shoes just do not work.
3. a scarf is a necessity.
4. the sun tends to hide all day. this is quite the opposite of the sunshine state.
5. do not pour hot water on your windshield if there is ice on it.
6. turning the heat on in the house...WHAT?
7. hot chocolate tastes 100 times better when it is actually chilly outside.
8. no shorts and flip flops in sight. strange.
9. you need 10 extra minutes to heat up the car in the morning or you will regret it.
10. using my honda's heated seats for the first time is awesome.
