I really hate filling these about me things out; it's kinda like the first day at a new school when the teacher tells you to stand up and say something about yourself. And you think really hard about what you can say to make yourself look awesome so that all the cool kids will want to be your friend, but the best you can come up with is something lie like "I'm from Scandinavia" or "I used to be in the witness protection program," both of which you're pretty sure every knows are lies. On the bright side, maybe the cool kids will talk to you when they find out you're smart, and you can be manipulated in to writing their history papers for them (for a nominal fee, of course).
I'm a first year vet student at St. George's, which is in Grenada in the Caribbean. Not a bad deal when you can take a 10 minute bus ride to the beach and "study." The worst part of being here is that I miss everyone at home so much and that there aren't any Targets or malls; hell there's not even a freakin Star Bucks- I thought those things were taking over the world. I've discovered while being down here that long distance relationships are a lot tougher than I thought, but definately worth it when you care about someone. I also miss free time; now every spare second I have (during the week at least) is selfishly devoured by studying. In all fairness, it makes time go by quickly, and I am paying some serious scrilla to be in school, so I might as well work hard and try to do well.
Meet Joe Black, Cruel Intentions, Wedding Crashers, The Family Stone, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Steel Magnolias, Two Weeks Notice
The last time I watched TV was for the Superbowl (no, I'm not Amish, but thanks for asking). When I was home, I liked to watch Grey's Anatomy (holla, McSteamy). FRIENDS was a past-time Thurs night staple, so now I resort to watching them on DVD (which btw, I have all seasons).
Lately all I get to read is my notes and books for class which are soooo good that I can't put them down. In my spare time (which I no longer have), I used to read the Shopaholic books which are funny but pretty much beach material in my opinion. Tuesdays with Morrie was really good. So was Sounder. Another cool book if you'e like in 3rd grade is Indian in the Cupboard; I so wanted to have my own l
Running/jogging- Depends on the level of humidity as to which I may be doing. Factor in hills and sometimes, I feel downright snail-like, but I still do it. Kick-boxing/Tae-Bo. Hanging out with or talking to my sister bc she's so cool that I'm hoping some of it will rub off on me someday. Throwin down the people's elbow whenever I see fit. White girl dancing.
I just thought it was important enough to let you know on all the sites that I will be there in 4 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Nice about me section. Here's what I'm thinkin....remember those flash cards of slang terms? I think you should make flash cards of Grenada terms. Starting with scrilla of course. Just an idea...I think you'd make some mad scrilla and pay for that school of yours.
