800beloved is a Michigan-based group formed from the writing & production of singer/songwriter, Sean Lynch.
The group's moniker, taken from a 1-800 telephone number, hints at the merger between two opposing themes - "800" representing the interest in popular culture's flimsiness while "beloved" alludes to the lyrical use of sacred, often dismal and ironically naive subject matter.
Host to numerous contributors since the project's begining in September 2005, the current incarnation of the group, Anastasiya Metesheva & Sean Lynch, performs selectively throughout the Midwest. After three years of production, their debut LP, entitled BOUQUET, was launched in compact disc format on Valentine's Day 2009 - the 44th release under the Moodgadget recording label. From it's opening line, "Let's kill everyone we know and hit the open road..." the eleven song album maintains a barrage of decadent one-liners amidst a whirlwind of glittery guitars and synthesizers. A sound that has claimed the affections of both teenage audiences and Post-punk/Shoegaze devotees, 800 has also earned praise for the provocative formats in which they have leaked songs from their debut - formats that have included, pill-shaped USB drives concealed within bags of candy and Cassingles.
800beloved currently rehearses in Milford, Michigan where Lynch also works as a cosmetologist & assistant for a funeral home.
