Well...

I'm a writer of screenplays/TV, and I'm interested in becoming a producer in the long run. I'm obsessed with gadgets and technology and am annoyingly picky about image and sound quality and so on. I'm kind of a computer geek. I drink lots of scotch. I love Jack Kerouac. I like reading history books and playing historical strategy games. I enjoy studying languages. I've loved science fiction to death since I was a small boy. Most of my friends are either academics or artists. I seriously considered going to law school but then, thankfully, came to my senses.

I studied Religion and Philosophy in college but dropped out to write. Now I'm in Tucson for a year staying with family to save up money and work on my portfolio before I get a literary agent and move to LA. Geez, I'm such a cliché!

I grew up in rural Missouri, and hated it most of the time but really it did have its charms. My parents were missionaries to Honduras and I spent time living there when I was a kid. But I'm not terribly religious these days, though I'll always at least be interested in religion and philosophy and the like.

I like people who kick the darkness 'till it bleeds daylight.

I'm eccentric and I like eccentric people. "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"

Virb? May 15

Well, this is definitely cooler than MySpace or Facebook at first glance. The appearance of it all reminds me of a Mac -- shiny and uber-modern, but not a lot of soul, grit, or warmth. Hopefully when I figure out the customization options I'll be able to get past that though. Besides, anything's better than MySpace's sensory overload or Facebook's blueish boredom.

Too bad there aren't many people on it at this point. Quality over quantity, let's hope.

I'll give it a try and see what happens.
