Oh right I forgot Sunday morning really early I leave for Washington D.C. to be a chaperone for a group of high school kids. We're going to see Obama's inauguration and go to an inaugural ball and see museums and junk.

I will be posting photos and things on some websites that are local, I will let you guys know the addresses so you can get a first-hand look at.. what millions of people look like from the stance of one of your friends. Go technology!

Also today is the first day of school and it snowed a little bit and I need more classes.

I was gonna do one of those month-by-moth replays of my life over the past year but I can't remember half of it and I don't want to remember the other half.

Basically I finished and started my first and second year at UNCA, Uncle Peewee and my cat died within 2 weeks of each other, I joined twitter and it's fucking amazing, I ended a sexual fling at the beginning of the year, and am finishing out the year heading into another, much nicer, calmer, and cuter fling with a guy 9 years older than me.

That's pretty much where my head is right now; laying in bed with a guy and holding his hand and and talking about zombie vampire apartments that drain people of their blood in the shower, and monkeys in space suits and drinking cups of tea and watching Junkyard Wars and strange indie movies from TV Eye and eating Udon noodles and playing guitar. The sad thing is, in 3 days he goes back to work, then I go to Portland, and then I start school, so whatever it is we have is pretty much doomed to end in 3 days. I don't want it to. I like laying in his bed rolling around in his stinky armpits and nuzzling my lips into his shoulder.

God I'm such a sappy girl.

In other news, I'm ready to go to Portland and see everyone, and then ready to fly back and start school again.

Since I've been getting this question a lot again the past few days:

Hi, yes, I live in Asheville NC now, again, temporarily, where I spent 14 of my 18 formative years before moving to Portland OR, where most of you met me and fell in love with me and my grandiose nerditity, etc etc.

Since the move, I've burned through 2 computers, and have subsequently lost almost all contact information for brief associations I've had with people there. So, no, I probably don't still have your e-mail address, sorry! But, by all means, feel free to get in touch with me. I would love to reconnect with you, probably. All anonymous comments are screened, so don't worry! Just drop me your e-mail address and I will get back in touch.

So this means when you suggest meeting up in Portland or Crater Lake or Seattle or Eugene or Klamath Falls or whatever, I'm pretty sure I can't make it. I live on the east coast, near 3,000 miles away. It's not that I don't want to, but the logistics are a bit tricky.

So um there was this thing Sunday night that I attended, and it involved some really neat local people and RockBand and RockBand II and some badly-mixed cran/vodka drinks. Badly mixed on my part, but delicious nonetheless. Also some dude was there who was all "yay I'm an American now", and it may or may not have been destroyerzooey, and someone who may or may not have been hopelarson made an amazingly delicious sweet potato cake with orange cream cheese layering with chocolate frosting. Also there was this hair-cutter person there who may or may not be the third best hair stylist in all of North Carolina there. And she could sing. Also some other really neat people who I hope to bump into around town again.

God yeah I am seriously hoping I didn't drink too much last night when singing along with Rock Band. I sang real loud, and ruined Blondie's "One Way Or Another", at least that much I know.

But. Cake! Booze! RockBand! Neat people!
