Headlights after using the 3m restoration kit.: I would recommend this 3m restoration kit to anyone who has a set of headlights suffering from a fog/yellow haze type finish. It ran $17 at Autozone. It comes with a 4 step process and almost everything you need. You need a power drill for this kit.

New home office: Set up for net and leather working without the latter being so obvious.

Remolded and covered Steering wheel and Porsche 996 shifter: I had a friend help me pull the steering wheel and stock shifter in favor of bringing in a fresh flavor. The wheel has been remolded with leather on the inside for a sportier and more aggressive look and feel. The center sections were covered in suede and the outsides were covered in leather. The quality of hides used are definitely a notch up from what was originally on the car. The shift boot wasn't even real leather. I did a cross stitch in a silver grey thread around the inside of the steering wheel to match the color of the car. The installation of everything went relatively smooth and looks really nice in place the stock set up.

Porsche 996 Shifter : This is the same shifter used in a Porsche 996. It is by far the best feeling knob I have ever felt and why they stopped using it is beyond me. I had it installed in my Celica for a while. I pulled it, recovered it and installed it in the G. I was surprised how easily the old leather on it tore apart during disassembly. I would expect better from Porsche.

Cleaned up the G35: When I picked up the car, the salesperson told me they cleaned it. That is laughable. They sprayed it down and threw on some tire shine, but it wasn't clean. This weekend, I went over the entire car with a clay bar. It helped a lot as it looks like there was some overspray settlement and grime on the body. I also found out that there was some minor body work on the fender. Since the carfax showed a clean title, this was probably a DIY job. It looks like they replaced the front bumper and painted it and repaired the front fender on the driver's side. Instead of painting the entire front fender, they blended it but did not wet sand it to smooth the blend. Since I don't have a professional orbital buffer, I will take it to a detailer some time next spring and have them smooth it out and get out all the swirls in the body. I also polished out the headlights since they were hazy and showing age.

Erin's Birthday Cake: I made this cake for my GF's 27th birthday. This is my first attempt at ever making a cake. My mom has made cakes for years, so I remembered some tips from watching her and a majority of the knowledge came from various internet sources. The cake has a white fondant base, chocolate shell drizzle and fondant roses (which were actually fun to make).
