I never know what to put on "About" pages on websites. I never really have anything interesting to say about myself. Quite honestly, I'm probably not that interesting of a person, anyway. However, I will put something in this section just to fill up space on the page. My wonderful Virb page will look bland and unimportant without it. Speaking of typography, I'm into graphic design. I'm in high school now, but I definitely see myself doing something in the field of graphic design in a few years. I'm not sure why, but I just like making things look good. I really dislike eyesores. Humm...maybe I just apply this concept to my wardrobe. Anyway, although I'm only 17, I feel like I'm pretty good at graphic design. People have said I have "a designer's eye." You can check out my website to see some of my work (acdesigns.biz). Another one of my favorite things is photography. Thanks to my mom, I started getting interested in photography before the age of 10. She did it as a hobby, but had pretty good equipment which I soon learned to use. I started out on a totally manual SLR, shooting in black and white. Now, I have a Nikon D70 with a small collection of lenses. I think everyone who learns photography should shoot on a manual camera, using black and white film because it really teaches you how the camera works. I know too many people who view the camera as another gadget, and don't fully appreciate its magic. Anyway, I think I'm going to stop writing now.
typophilia an excessive attachment to and fascination with the shape of letters, often to the exclusion of other interests and object choices. Typophiliacs usually die penniless and alone.
typophobia the irrational dislike of letterforms, often marked by a preference for icons, dingbats, and - in fatal cases - bullets and daggers. The fears of the typophobe can often be quieted (but not cured) by steady doses of Helvetica and Times Roman.
typochondria a persistent anxiety that one has selected the wrong typeface. This condition is often paired with OKD (optical kerning disorder), the need to constantly adjust and readjust the spaces between letters.
