hi my name is adam i am 18 years old and male and you probably don't know me too well or you wouldn't be reading this. unless you're my mom because moms have to look at everything their kids do even when it's boring because that's their job.

so here's a story ->

once apon a time i was living on campus at UMBC in baltimore, maryland. actually, that time was right now. i grew up in toronto, moved to silver spring, md (right above dc), and now i'm at school in baltimore. it's so exciting!!!

i'm a graphic design major, mostly because i am not good at anything else. srsly. anyway back to the point, i'm an art major, well, not fine art, but still, and anyway that means i have bangs in my eyes and thick-rimmed glasses and i listen to bright eyes and know that there's no "h" in tegan and sara and it means that i definitely think death cab for cutie are sellouts and that the arcade fire are overrated and like a bunch of stuff like that. p.s. i'm not really like that and today i listened to ashlee simpson for like three hours.

what else. umm. people ask me if i'm straight edge often enough for some reason but i'm not and there's no good reason for them to ask me that. people also ask me if i'm emo and i usually pretend i don't know what emo is. which actually, i don't, so it's a good system.

on campus i like to keep busy. i accidentally wrote "busty" a second ago and that's kind of funny. moving on: i'm a member of the student events board and we plan concerts and rad shit. i'm vice president of the art council of majors and that means i get to plan art-themed shit and pad my resume. i'm also promotions director for the campus radio station, so i make posters and plan music-themed shit. i'm into planning, clearly. oh, and i think i'm going to start writing for the school paper. i decided this yesterday.

i wear a key around my neck, and people assume it's 'cause i'm such a hipster or something, but it's actually my dorm key, and i imagine i'll stop when i have to turn it in at the end of the year. i wear it there because it's easier than carrying it in my wallet (i keep my other two keys in the change pocket of my wallet because i don't have a car and therefore have no real need for a proper keychain yet). i open my door by squishing my head up against the door handle and opening the lock while the key is still around my neck. it's funny for everyone else.

i have some best friends like shan and mia and vicki and chris and stuff. vicki goes to the main university of maryland campus (you know, they have terrapins and stuff) and i go there to hang out sometimes. it's nice, but that campus is really big and it frustrates me. probably because i'm out of shape and don't like all the walking, especially if it's very warm because my hair curls up and then i have to flatiron it again.

one time i drew a nautical star on my pants and i like it even though nautical stars are the very definition of emo cliche. whatever that means.

also, one girl named me "adamxfashion" for a day and i never thought of it again. a year later, someone met me randomly and referred to me by that name again. it was bizarre.
