About
I was born into the "Show Me State" St. Louis, Missouri, named Christopher A. Burgett, by the centerpiece of the family, who also happens to be my beautiful Filipino mother, Grace Burgett, and a straight shooting Black family man, Lloyd Burgett, on the 23rd day, April 1982.
I recently graduated from "The University of Georgia" with a Bachelors Degree in Economics in the Summer of 2007.
After attending Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va right after high school, a prep school for football, I enrolled into the University of Georgia and I road five of the most unforgettable years on the grinding tracks of football's relentless roller coaster, but I loved all the pain I endured & would not replace a single breath or breathless moment felt when I stepped off of life's hard concrete reality and drifted away on to the soft blades of my own fantasy's paradise. It has help instill my strong characteristic traits and continuously acts as the underlying ambitious force of who I am and what I am striving to become. I know football is just a simple child's game, but the game has taught me how to conduct myself as a young entrepreneur and as a family man.
As time's arm hesitates for no one to catch up, I've worked for Cushman & Wakefield, the second largest commercial real estate company in the world, personal trained, & created a company called GrindStone Promotions Inc, as time elapsed, the fire to get back on the field grew inside my soul and the flame turned blue when I realized injury would not be the end of my football diary. In the third game of my senior season against the University of Tennessee, I suffered a strenuous groin injury medically termed, "Osteitis Pupis," which basically limits you from performing any athletic activity. After receiving two cortisone shots in 2007, 2008, and 1000's of hours of rehab work- intensive training became my main motivation to wake up every morning and continue to chase after my dreams of becoming a Professional football player as a Running Back or Wide Receiver. I just recently signed with a Indoor Professional team, the Augusta Colts (augustacolts.com), and look forward to the upcoming 2010 season!
I love every new day that comes my way, as I learn from yesterday's heartaches & take my lessons into the night's prayers. I don't have pity for people who bring trouble upon themselves, & in return, beg that you do not ever feel pity for my self inflicted hurt. I do not stand still pondering on the "what if's" in life, because I realized at an early age that what if...I couldn't type right now, own a computer to type on, or even formulate these thoughts and present them to you, my audience, in an intriguing way?
I'm about as intricate as they come, but I'm quite simple if you've learned, broken down, and put back together the building blocks stacked up which represent what we all call "our lives." I'll die before you disrespect my faith and/or my family and i don't really have any friends because all the soldiers who I surround myself with are blessings and blood related to me in my own eyes. Hopefully, we will both have the opportunity to make a 4everlasting Signature in the yearbook's of our own unique & intricate minds, share stories and enjoy each others company, and break down the weak walls of misguided philosophies that plague this world for the better of all the good WE ALL Stand &/ or Kneel down to.
