Collaborations with Brynja Cortes Andrésdóttir (cello), CCMonkey (violin), Edoardo Ricci (wind instruments) and Letizia Renzini (electronics) have been occasions to deveope their language into electro-acoustic and electronic music.

Waristerror Terroriswar (Now TSIGOTI) is a collaborative and improvisational quazi-punk band dedicated to expressing their opposition for war, authoritarian regimes, and violent religious extremes. It's a band made up of members from two different continents with a tremendous amount of experience in a wide variety of musical situations. Their first album transpired the year after the 2006 war between Lebanon and Israel though it is not about that war specifically but war in general. Some songs were written in a few hours, and without teaching them to each other they recorded the first album "TheBrutalRealityOfModernBrutality" in 3 days. They met again this past year to record a second album "Private Poverty Speaks To The People Of The Party", play their first shows to wildly enthusiastic audiences, and reconfirm their collective skeptical optimism.

TSIGOTI (meaning 'I see' in Cherokee language) is the next step. Same people, same instruments, same improvisational spirit, now with more involvement and time to craft songs. This time war is seen from the inside, from people who suffer being attacked, trapped, imprisoned, terrorized and tricked. The music has become more complex, with guest musicians from our Valdisieve family (Edoardo Ricci, Samuele Venturin, Francesco di Mauro, and a choir of a dozen of friends). A multi-layered approach to the sound, exploiting new recording techniques and equipment, brings Tsigoti sound to your ears exploding in all its controversial spikes. The artwork is signed by master cartoonist Squaz and the album will be released in december 2009 by ESP-Disk, distributed worldwide.

Ensemble of extreme dinamycs, ready to trace sketches with a paintbrush as to sculpt with the fury of a sledgehammer, on stage the band is now performing with a new lineup with cello and two basses, swimming into armolodic textures to extract the most powerful intensity.
The first album “Bossa Storta” was released in 2006 by the french cult label Saravah and distributed in France, Japan, Italy and Brasil. Thirtheen musicians, featuring Chiara Locardi (L’Enfance Rouge), Enrico Amendolia (Malfunk), Stefano Bartolini (Banda Improvvisa), Alicia Wade (Orlock) to play eleven songs and one version of Luigi Tenco’s “Io sì”.
The second album “Squarcicatrici” was released in november 2009, produced by Frigorifero Prod., San Giuseppe Records, Burp Publications, Wallace Records, Northpole records and Nillacat. An international line-up including Enrico Antonello (Pangolinorchestra), Erwan Naour (Les Hurlements d’Leo), Thollem McDonas, Samuele Venturin (Motociclica Tellacci) and a remix by bosnian dub heroes Vuneny, to interpretate twelve new compositions of aggressive intensity. In the booklet there's an original essay of the brazilian sociologue Chico Caminati titled "Preto são todas as cores, branco é ausência de cor!" written expecially for this album and it can be read also on http://cteme.sarava.org/Main/EX-pretobranco

JACOPO ANDREINI workshop for large ensemble real-time conduction

(Italy)

To stay togheter is a human behaviour present in any culture all around the world. To play togheter is part of the expressions of a community. But there's several different ways to organize the sounds inside an ensemble of musicians.

This workshop analizes and develops a language based on gestures, signs and panels to allows any kind of musician, at any technical level and with any instrument, to play more complex structured music within even very huge ensembles. It's a mix of theories and praxis coming straight from XX century composers as John Cage, Frank Zappa, Butch Morris, Anthony Braxton, John Zorn and so on.
The richness of any ensemble is the personal background of every member, including his life, experiences, thoughts, body, and of course musical taste and skillness.
During the workshop the partecipants learn how to react to the signs and how to relate to each other and to the ensemble itself. At the same time, I learn the characteristic of every musician, his voice and his unique particularities.

One of the main concept that I want to communicate it's the anarchist way to collaborate inside a small society. There's no hierarchy, but a very complex web of responsabilities and roles that everyone must take charge of. Anyone trying to become a leader would be automatically re-educated by the intelligence of the other members of the ensemble.
The workshop runs for three days, at least 3 hours every day, and a final concert the 4th day.

In the last 5 years I’ve conducted very different ensembles in Chicago, Providence, New York, Firenze, San Francisco, Olympia, Dunkerque, Palermo, Pesaro, Pistoia, and Rennes.
To partecipate to the workshop I demand to be open minded, concentrated and passionate. No need to know how to read music, to play notes, to have a classical training. Only your instrument (+ any percussive object and your voice) and a way to amplify it if needed.

Live in the most improbable places on both side of ocean, the unforeseeable duo unhinges social behaviours even before the musical ones. With the here-an-now freedom, without decency nor masquerade, they have the keys to open that room in our mind that each one of us shut down too soon. The liberty to be moved with folk songs, dionysiac freejazz, soundtracks, theatrical pieces, physical interlacements, multilinguistic and self-irony.

Thollem McDonas is part of that american tradition of incredibly skilled musicians, with a deep knowledge of the music of many countries, always ready to start and travel to bring his music everywhere in the world.
This mindset brought him to play, besides in every State of the USA, also in Mexico, Argentina, Czech Republic, China, France, Italy, Croatia, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, and in many other lands.
Funambolist of the 88 keys, able to explore the most secluted gorges of the contemporary classical music as to enlight the audience with jazz or to hollow the deepest meaning of serialism and minimalism making it as intriguing and passionate as world music, each concert he plays it’s a physical, sonic and mental experience, unique and unrepeatable

Giorgio Manzato – electric bass
Roberto Fega – electronics
Lucio Bonaldo – percussions
Stefano Porro – drums

Pangolinorchestrà is one of the expressions of the vulcanic musical activity of Gi Gasparin (since 1986 leader of Jawless, Gi Napajo, Else, Confraternita Felice Pesavento, Piume e Sangue, Sgrenaisade...) He recorded under this name a dozen of albums, then in 2005 the lineup becomes more tight, with members of Sgrenaisade, Tomaj the former singer of the avantcore band Detriti, Roberto Fega an electronic manipulator of the Ambiences Magnetiques world, and a bunch of wild improvisers coming from Tuscany. All these personalities recorded the album “Ex-perimento #5” released by Stella*Nera and co-produced by Idee Nere and Centro Stabile di Cultura. The band started playing a series of concerts where art rock blends with balcanic folk, punk rage crosses realtime conduction, and the voices of the orchestra raise an infernal sabbath.

This nomads met many times in the last 8 years. Togheter they played in Seattle, Milano, San Diego, Roma, Portland, Vigevano, Olympia, Ferrara, San Francisco, Pescara, Los Angeles, Lecce and dozens of other places without a name (nuclear shelter, toxic waste beach, farms, theaters, squats, loft, art galleries, rivers...) Every time the interlacement of muscles and breath produces spasms and squirms, tensions and scratches, melodies and trance. Improvisation in its deepest meaning, a dialogue exploiting all their knowledge to talk about something new. Absolutely acustical, a trio able to dig the ground with breath and to excite with very extreme dynamics.

After the experience with CRAP (Ricci and Andreini with Roy Paci and Helmut Cipriani) a dare-devil line up mixing thousands of ideas and sounds, taking no prisoners, with a ferocious interplay made possible by the decennial knowledge of the four musicians.
