Project : After the Beep

After the beep is a collaborative effort to create experimental audio programming based on voicemail message communications, combined with lo-powered FM transmissions to break the mediated public sphere. All messages will be mixed into an audio program to be presented in various formats, and locations in the Midwest United States, starting with Columbus, Ohio in fall 2007.

Mediated public spheres to break include: Department stores, well attended public events, heavily-populated urban neighborhoods, green grassy knolled suburban sectors.

All performances will be documented (televised as they say) and produced in various distributable formats, including installation, performance, still and moving image films, and audio podcast programs.

You can support this project by calling our voicemail and leaving your message: (614) 441-9923

Join our virb site for now, until our project site is completed.
