Biography

Renée Asteria's music is multilingual and multicultural, blending folk-rock, reggae, latin, and more. Her 'sunny live sound is similar to Kate Bush, Lene Lovich, Portishead & Sade, peppered with tropical sounding Latin and reggae beats' (Dan-O). The New Jersey-born, France-dwelling artist of Bolivian-Dutch descent draws her inspiration from lessons learned during her travels. She has collaborated with musicians from Argentina, California, NY, Europe and Africa. In 2007 Renée Asteria, a.k.a. Agent Double E, completed her second production entitled 'Faces of Agent Double E' with producer Matias Martyn (Tibetan Monkey) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The album was released live on Rock & Pop FM, (95.5 FM Buenos Aires) and was followed by a 6-month tour of the USA where Renée Asteria performed with local bands in New York City, Connecticut, California and Louisiana. Agente Doble E completó su segundo produccion en 2007 intitulado "Caras de Agente Doble E" con el productor Matías Martyn (Tibetan Monkey), en Buenos Aires, Argentina.
