It was in the hot summer of 2001, near the lake Trasimeno/Italy, when two girls from Uslar/Germany suddenly realized that they were supposed to dedicate their lives (or at least their free-time) to MUSIC. (...) From 2003 on they had some small experiences on stage and had fun playing in the streets of nearby cities. But after they had the great honour to get to know Mr. Thomas Hansen, nothing should be the same anymore. He invited them to be his spontanous St. Thomas support act in Kassel on October 1st, 2005 and in Hannover in March 2007. There are so many happy memories connected with him and his music... (We miss you, Thomas.) A Humming From The Wood played their first official concerts in Halden and Fredrikstad, Norway in June 2007. The shows were organized by their dear friends from Tellusalie. There, they sold their home-recorded CD "Eight Songs For You!". You can also find A Humming From The Wood on the "Folklore Vol. 1" compilation, released by Polar Recordings from Pittsburgh, in October 2007 and on the St. Thomas "Walk With Me" Tribute-CD, where you can find a cover version of Thomas' "With The Feather".
