Do New Year's resolutions count if they depend partially on a second party?

Because I think in 2007 I want my resolution for the new year to involve me being pro-active about dating. Like, actual dates with boys involving dinner and good conversation. Not drunken hook ups, not "tour goggle" make out all-nighters, not hopeless crushes.

I guess it'd be safe to predict that this year's resoluton will be shattered by 2008.
