Hi Folks, I come from Gourock which is a small seaside town, not too far from Glasgow. This is on the West coast of Scotland. I am a Christian, and a member of Struthers Memorial church in Greenock. My hobbies? Well I like walking, swimming, reading, like art too, but don't get much time for it now, playing the piano and the guitar, writing songs, eating things I shouldn't be eating, well don't we all!! spending time with friends having a good ol nyatter or a hearty sing song. I work as an EYECO. Nursery nurse at Sacred Heart Primary School. I work with the teacher in the class, providing active learning experiences ( basically hands on learning through play) less workbooks and more practical learning. I love my job you get some great laughs with the kids, ie we were talking about things begining with the letter E and one wee one pipes up " Miss ah know...... Yir erm." There are also times where you feel like pulling you hair out but you've just got to laugh, eg.One day a wee girl came and said Please Miss "there's a swimming pool in the boys toilet" Oh Nooooo.... that can only mean one thing, someone left the plug in and the tap running, sure enough the flood was right out into the cloakroom with jackets floating here and there. The janny ( an Elvis wannabe) was away a message and so... it was up to me and another girl to mop it all up or rather shovel it into buckets, as a mop was useless. An hour's hard slog later we discovered that it was done on purpose by a wee rascal, who was exacting his revenge, for being given into trouble. His misdemeanour, trying to kiss a girl in the class ( yes... this was a P1). Oh well it's things like this that keep the job from growing dull and repetetive.
