AITOR MOLINA

"Music is something that we heard and sometimes also we listened.
Some of us lived surrounded by records, some of us also like to share them with people and for that reason we perform night by night at the clubs.
Others in addition, they also like to compose them, to produce records, to make music.
The hours in the record stores, the memory of that records that you listen but you do not have and you want. The conversations. The new developments. The packages of promos. To know the artists, to share nights with them. The public. The trips. The delays in the airports. The fights in airport invoicing. The hotels. The solitude. The feedback from the public. The hours that seem minutes. The people who do not speak and say everything. Those that are not known, but do not need it to dance together. The gratefulness glances. The applause. The desire to follow.
All this and much more is what means music for me."

PAST: The evolution that has developed Aitor Molina throughout the years is not usual, his beginnings in the education in classic music, in theory and piano, his collaboration during years with the Easo Choir from San Sebastián,... have derived in a very personal sensitivity and a very particular way to conceive and to feel the music. In his constant search of new stimulies, he finds in the electronic music the universe in which to lose himself for always.
Student and analist of the classic sound, Detroit and Chicago infect and implant the rithm to him. Labels like Transmat, Underground Resistance, Planet E and Basic Chanel, Chain Reaction, Plus 8, Warp... impose the bases and the criterion and show him the way to follow.
His relationship with the records begins when he know the Hobbymari Records store and where he beings involved at this moment. Inside it the hours fly and begins to collect everything what calls his attention.
He lets guide by they know more than he, he learns, he listens, and in few years thousands of records give form to his record collection and begins to feel the necessity to share all those records with other people.
The nerves of the first performances as a DJ take step to the security in which he believes and in which he does, with feeling, curiosity, criterion and rigor. The symbiosis with the public is clear in every day of work.
In the year 2003 he moves to Madrid where he is part of the Proboke managment agency along with artists like Xpansul (Plus 8, Trapez, Pariter, Discos de Lata, ), Petter (Border Community), HD Substance (Software), Sian (Poker Flat),...
With time assumes greater responsibilities, bigger clubs, the first travels, more important artists to play with, festivals (MID-E,...), press (DJ One Magazine cover, El Pais, Diario Vasco,...), radio (RNE, Radio 3),... and all of this creates all what he express now with each records, each gesture and each smile.
PRESENT: "I hear a phrase that is repeated, it makes reference to the situation of the electronic music, to techno in particular. Speech about crisis, lack of new things, repetition, lack of surprise... but... in fact, what it is what lacks, where is the crisis?... in music... ...or in the people.
The music cannot be the problem, must be the answer.
In certain way, I believe that we are the unique ones that we can, and what is more important, than we must to do something to take all this forwards, so, that all this that now we have, and gets passionate to us, we pruned to also enjoy it in the future...
Because, who is going to do it, if those that we loved all this we do not do?
I feel almost in the obligation of to re-feed, in the measurement of my posibilities, something of which I take nourishing to me and enjoying as much time...
Otherwise, if not doing it, that we would have left? a moment would arrive when it would not be nothing else to enjoy.
No new records to listen.
For that reason I express as much passion in each sound of each record that I play, for that reason I suffer whenever I select records and I prepare the record bag to travel to any club, it is my drama, are so many... so many records in my collection that it want to share... so many new records week by week, so many classic ones through the years, as much work in the studio, and everything for that every night be unique, full of magic. My sweat shows the effort and my smile the happiness result from the interaction between the public, my music, my hands and I. And me it makes very happy."
FUTURE: Supernormal Records.
Supernormal Record looks for the beginning of the change, the departure point for a different way in the conception of the club music.
Every day new tools looks for to open us new ways to make and to perform at dj sets, in the past we only have the posibility to mix tracks, but know and thanks to the technology and to proposals like Supernormal Records label and net label, we have located a new step ahead in patterns of creativity and innovation.

Future it is today.
