Alaska - ten rude boys in nice suits, one dog sled, Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae.
Already in its first year on stage, the ska band from Zurich gained a lot of popularity in the swiss ska scene, with more than 40 gigs all over Switzerland. The highlights to date include sold out shows, gigs with national and international stars (Desmond Dekker, Rico Rodriguez, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Desorden Publico, Dog Eat Dog...) in some of the most popular locations in and around Switzerland, as well as the debut EP "Claiming Land", thats first pressing sold out already after two months. With their brand new full-length album "Dog Sled Crossing", the devotees of The Holy Alaska Salmon definitely entered Switzerlands first ska-league. The album is mixed by New York's Ska-Mastermind Victor Rice (New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, The Toasters, The Slackers...) in his studio in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Twelve tracks from traditional to 3rd wave ska and reggae, influenced by pop, jazz and blues give you a chance to dance which you shouldn't miss.
