it's a hard way to love.

love is always such a good idea when the reality of it can be buried underneath the raw emotion of a few solitary moments that happen to muddle themselves together into an experience. but when the high of new love is usurped by the innate selfishness of the two individuals who suddenly find themselves intimately entwined in each other's lives, the reality of love overcomes the ideology of love, and the defining factor of success is left in solidarity to those two overwhelmed individuals. it is at this precipice that love becomes more than a feeling but evolves into a determination to put all selfishness and self-efficacy aside and unabashedly delve in the terrifying existence of allowing yourself to become immensely vulnerable to another person. found in this often elusive place is the love that anchors two to one another. and this is the love that dances through dreams and teases hearts with intertwined fingers. this is the love that tearfully reminds those who have not discovered it of their own inadequacy. this is the love that so many yearn for, mold their lives so it will fit, and seek after. but this is the love that many will not find - not because it is impossible to find this love, but because they refuse to move from their self-elected throne. love is not the flowers and the music and the chocolates and the cards and the kisses and the sex and the sweet sentiments and the looks and the touches and the dreams that our minds make it out to be. it's about being able to make another person, with all of their imperfections and annoying traits more important than yourself.
