I'm (obviously) Alex Hnatiuk. I'm from Brantford Ontario Canada, and I'm 18. I am finished with highschool (fifth year's a charm), and I'm trying to pursue music in a "small time" way, while working, before going back to school for either psychology or writer's craft. I love reading and I do some amateur writing in my spare time, and I work(ed) at my high-school's library doing co-op (workplace experience for school credits). In addition to literature I spend most of my time loving, listening to, and composing music. I'm in an experimental band called Para Contra (latin, loosely translated is "prepare(ed/for) change(or 'unusual')" ), and I also write some of my own compositions which I hope to record sometime this year. You can get in touch with me via msn at: alex.e.hnatiuk@gmail.com
News! News! Band on label, Alex leaving internet! May 15
Well, as offff the 10th of May, Para Contra is a Rack and Ruin Records band. Its a small but very awesome little net label (growing by the day, tons of excellent bands on the roster), and all the albums are free for download. I'm also disconnecting from the inernet June 1st; it's a pretty bad addiction for me, and I lack the self discipline to simply cut back..

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!

Yeah, I've been out of commission since April, but I just got my computer fixed. Lovecraft is the man.
