My introductory blog post, woo yeaa. Boobies.

Registered for Virb after reading about in in a bulletin (from Circle Takes the Square; see friends list for some brain-melt).
I like the blog-ness tied into it (myspace blogs are fail). I mostly use Vox for blogging but I might actually switch to this one (as it has music AND good blog). http://alsirat.vox.com for those interested, I mostly use it for prose and poems and stufff.

I'm in an experimental band called Para Contra at the moment, which is a great form of release, but it's also an added source of frustrations for me (trying to get a ride out there, dealing with cramped quarters, arguments with band members over music / philosophy, etc). I'm almost finished high-school, and my top priority once that's done is to save enough money to leave Brantford (possibly to move out west to visit a good friend, maybe get some music stuff going), with my eventual destination / goal being Montreal (for the music).

I play guitar and bass primarily and a tiny bit of piano / keyboard (experimentation), as well as having a bit of a knack for making synth-noise kind of stuff with pedals and an mp3 player. I'm much better at composing / writing music than I am at playing any instruments, heh. I read a ton (books-wise) and do a bit of amateur writing which I may post on here from time to time, which reminds me; I work in my high-schools library doing "co-op", and I have about 2 weeks of that left to do.. That pretty well covers it I guess. I plan to put some music from Para Contra on here as well as some of my own pieces if I can get a decent recording of anything done.
