Enough about you, let's talk about me...

hi there virb world :D

my name's amanda (amanda pearl if you want to get a little personal), and i'm kinda awesome. i'm finishing up my last year at ucsb, and after this is the real world - yikes! good thing that i have an amazing roommate (what up, p!), fabulous housemates who help me remember that i never really have to grow up and a cute little furball named sake.

my closest friends are spread out from orange to ithica, but distance only makes it mean more. even without them, college is pretty neat. some of my closest sb friends live in the party mecca of i.v. - the corner of dp and camino pescadero. the kids who grew too big for iv live all around the downtown area and pretty much make it our bitch. once we put all of our heads together, we basically perfected the art of having fun. sometimes i go to school, in fact, i think thats what i actually came to college for. i've already walked in commencement, so now i just have to wait and pluck the right classes from the catalog so i can get out of here and on with me life. i'm studying statistical science (yes, sometimes its as boring as it sounds but i think its freakin' sweet) and global peace and security. the easiset way to answer that whole "what are you gonna do next" question is to say that i "just want to be happy" which is both cliche and true. in an ideal world, i'd be a dj, astronaut, super model, television personality, have a show like "the simple life" with my best friend danielle - but i think we could manage to use bigger words, a politician, princess and a college professor. i'm sure, eventually, one or more of those can come true. so, for right now, i'll stick with that "i just want to be happy" addage.

i love change; in fact, stability makes me nervous. i doubt i'll ever be able to leave california (for long). my friends have called me a natural stoner (i'm still debating whether that's a good or a bad thing), and i've been known to take a few shots...in a row. i have more books than is probably healthy and can eat an entire carton of oreos in one sitting. i like all types of music; i even like opera but promise to not make you listen to it unless you ask for it. i arrange my closest by type of clothing and color, and yes, i'm neurotic.
