IMPOSTOR is a modern take on Classic Electro Pop in the vein of Kraftwerk meets Vangelis, mixed in with a little Yazoo. This makes for a distinctly retro analog sound, with rhythms and textures that manage to be cinematic, energetic and contemporary. Formed in March 2008 after an inspiring concert by Jean Michel Jarre of his classic 'Oxygene' album in Dublin's National Concert Hall, where the entire gig was performed live using the original classic analog synths. This sparked a renewed interest in electronic musical instruments and a return to music composition after a 15 year hiatus.
Impostor is focused on retro-inspired electronic music, and despite being a former member of electro pop band 'Empire State Human', this is in fact the composers first original work in over a decade. 'Theme to Impostor' is a taste of what will eventually be an album entitled 'Analog Impostor', a collection of tracks which will appeal to those of you who love the likes of Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Yazoo, Depeche Mode, John Carpenter, Gary Numan, Soft Cell, Human League etc. These new compositions will be posted here as they are produced, so please return from time to time to listen to and download them
