Analogue is a design company. Our design work is made for people to use, to learn from, to enjoy, to touch, to love, or even question.
We view design as problem-solving in the most traditional sense. Every design brief presents a challenge: at the core, a communication problem that we, as designers, are trusted to solve. We feel successful design must be functional, serve a purpose, and hopefully evoke an emotional response from the viewer. We feel our work should be an extension of people's daily lives, not a distraction from it. We offer a range of services, but the core of our business is creating interactive design solutions that are engaging, elegant, original, and usable.

Strange, oh so strange—but a sincere thank you to CSSiPhone for posting our iPhone companion site to the showcase today…
I found myself asking myself: is there something wrong with the iPhone companion site we developed for The Struggle and the Progress? It was passed-over multiple times, on several iPhone showcase sites—for some rather dodgy iPhone work. I’ll be diplomatic, and leave it at “dodgy”. Am I bitter? Not at all. Confused? Slightly.
We are pretty proud of it.

A good friend (and client) of ours is eagerly-awaiting for iTunes to approve his debut album for sale in the store. Once given the green light, we will unleash the official website (and iPhone companion experience) for…
The Struggle and the Progress, by Dusty Johnston
He’s also off, on extremely short notice, to Chicago, to DJ with DJ Z-Trip, and hip-hop legend, Q-Tip. Good luck, Dusto—show ‘em what we’re made of.
Today we officially launch the Analogue iPhone-optimized website. With the announcement yesterday of the iPhone 3GS, and just as important—the price reduction of the standard iPhone 3G to $99, we feel the iPhone can no longer be ignored as some fringe platform (you’d be surprised at the resistance some have to this device—and always for some petty personal preference, or even worse, for some bizarre loyalty to an inferior brand or platform).
Why develop a special “iPhone version” of your site (replying to a comment we received a while back regarding separate iPhone-optimized sites)? Because our site is Flash-based—that’s why. Until Flash and the iPhone can play nicely, then we will require 2 experiences.
There is also no need to provide a unique URL to people, either. With a bit of javascript magic, the iPhone and iPod Touch are easily detected: desktop browsers see the standard site, iPhones see their own…
