so i'm feeling a lot of things right now---

1. i have the flu. or something bad like that. i was trying my hardest to cover that up during my last few shows in NY and pittsburgh, but i'm sure the hacking cough between songs might have raised some mom's eyebrows....i am on a lot of cold/flu drugs now, which i think are helping.

side story: in NYC, i was on the subway 2 mornings ago, and my nose was running like crazy. on a crowded subway, i felt really rude, like i was giving everybody some sickness....nobody talks of course on the subway that early in the morning, so it was just my sniffle/sneeze/coughs filling up the air....literally. so i grabbed this nasal spray stuff out of my backpack, and waiting for an inconspicuous time to spray it up my nose. not the type of thing you like to do in public. plus it was so awkwardly quiet that i had to wait and secretly do it when the doors were opening and a bunch of noise was happening. at the next stop, when the doors opened, i violently leaned my head back and sprayed and sniffed twice in each nostril, all in a matter of like 2 seconds, then snapped my head back down normal. then it was silent again--i think the guy next to me thought i was doing some sort of illegal drug....got a weird look and then he got up and moved.

2. in spite of that, i am SO SO pumped at the response of cd sales thus far---thank you guys for hitting B&N up---a lot of cities are selling out, which is amazing. i got to peek my head in the B&N in Union Square (NY, NY) on release day....pretty surreal moment to be honest. really cool.

i'll have some more thoughts soon---right now for some reason my head is real cloudy....kinda feels like i just woke up....all day long.....and i'm not a morning person
