My Place: This piece is from my first collegiate art class, 2-D Design. The only instruction my professor gave was that it had to be "about place", more specifically, a place that was personal to us. I decided that my place was not a particular place at all, but a time of day. I decided to use color and line to evoke a feeling of sunset fading into night. Collage - Printed Images. 32x40.
The Stigmata: This drawing was done to fulfill an assignment with the requirement of making an original composition using the golden ratio (1.618:1). From one hand to the other and down to the center of the goblet forms one point of a five-pointed star, which uses the golden ratio in its geometry. Graphite on paper.
Still Life Study: My professor always chose very random objects for our still lifes - hence, the rubber glove. Oil on Canvas.
