Angry Rabbit was set up in 2006 as an umbrella organisation for Group Five and Aquaboogie, dedicated to releasing CD-Rs of ... Group Five and Aquaboogie.
In 2007 Angry Rabbit moved into net-release, first with a historical electronica radio session from 1995, Artificial Intelligentsia, still featuring Group Five and Aquaboogie (in their youth) along with a young Jet Jaguar; and later with Pierre Omaar's lost DX-7 classic, Contretemps. Group Five also put up a second EP for public consumption. Get these MP3s from the label site.
The year ended with the recruitment of Michael Upton (Jet Jaguar) as an official partner in the Rabbit, joining us to nibble at the lettuce of fun.
In 2008 Angry Rabbit have released a compilation CD of new material from themselves and their buddies, entitled. ...Apropos of Nothing is the label's first foray into compiling the work of others.
