RUBY-BLUES
This brief was based on typographic interpretation; analysing and interpreting a chosen poem from a local poet. 'Ruby-blues' captured me instantly. The content is very expressive and draws the reader into a past intimate, sensual memory. My interpretation of the poem is based on time and place; 'here and now', this in contrast with daydreaming of a past memorable situation. I broke the poem into two sections; the opening and ending stanza portraing the 'here-and-now' and the middle stanza/s drawing us back into a past, private and intimate memory.
