About

Annöv. is an artful rock band based out of Seattle. The piano drives the songs, stretching from jagged, percussive rhythms to gentle, dreamy melodies, which support the colorful blend of male and female vocals. Their sound blends this piano rock with textured guitar and keyboard. Elements of classical, jazz and electronic genres combined with a driving rock create unique songs that pull you in to a swirl of sound.

These five friends came together to form Annöv.. in the spring of '08 after Stephen's debut release of 'Son of Innovation' in the fall of '07. By the following summer the band was finishing up a set of shows in and around Seattle Pacific University, where Stephen graduated from, and Andrew and Evy still attend. Andrew is in his last year at SPU, finishing up a history degree. Evy is a junior at the university, majoring in voice, which she'll continue on into opera. The brother duo, Nick and Jesse Lee on guitar and bass, came down to Seattle each in their own time. Nick, who has been with the band the longest, attends Shoreline Community College. Both Stephen and Nick have studied audio engineering and do a fare amount of producing, which makes for very interesting and intelligent mixes, often with a handful of musical surprises. Outside of the band Stephen works as an audio engineer at a mid sized studio in South Seattle, as well as an event production company in Federal Way.

These artists found their wide variety of experience came together beautifully, culminating in what is now Annöv.
