Anonymeye is an avant-country artist from Melbourne, Australia who reconfigures country and folk musics with electronic production techniques utilising electronic and acoustic instrumentation including laptop, acoustic guitar, and effects units.
Since 2004, Anonymeye has performed at festivals, clubs and events throughout Australia and Europe including Club Transmediale @ Maria Am Ufer (Berlin), Fabrique @ Brisbane Powerhouse (Brisbane, Australia), Le Placard (Berlin), Straight Out Of Brisbane (Brisbane, Australia), Pestorius Sweeney House (Brisbane, Australia), Instants Chavriles Montreuil (Paris), The Zoo (Brisbane), Golden Pudel (Hamburg) and Extrapool (Nijmegen, The Netherlands); alongside artists including Animal Collective (USA), Greg Davis (USA), Ed Kuepper/Jeffery Wegener (Laughing Clowns), Faun Fables (USA), Augsburger Tafelconfect (Germany), Kunt, The Lost Domain, Francis Plagne, and Barrage.
Anonymeye's debut album 'Anonymeye Motel', was released in 2006 through Australian independent label half/theory (www.halftheory.com). 'Anonymeye Motel' is an eight-song, forty-four minute work loosely thematically based on highway travel, cheap roadside motels and the inevitable return to suburbia that follows.
Anonymeye is currently working on new material in several formats, and expressions of release interest are more than welcome.
