We've come to the end of '08.
One of my favorite things to do every year is compile a top 10 records
list. So here it is (let me know what you think I left out)..

1- The Pretenders , "Break Up the Concrete" (pretty obvious choice
coming from me. There best album since "Learning to Crawl")
2- Lucinda Williams, "Little Honey" (always so consistent plus this
one Rocks!)
3- The Ting Tings ,"We Started Nothing" (also the best single of the
year by far "That's Not My Name")
4- TV on the Radio , "Dear Sciene" (way too cool)
5- The Raconteurs ,"Consolers of the Lonely" (it kicks ass)
6- Aimee Mann , "Fuck Smilers" (more solid stuff from Mrs. Penn)
7- Santogold (took me right back to the 80's plus totally working the
M.I.A. thing)
8- The Duke Spirit, "Neptune" ( the fuckin Jefferson Airplane!!)
9- Vampire Weekend - (nice and fresh)
10- Madonna , Hard Candy (not too bad from the "old lady". Well in all
fairness, there are 2 other women
over 50 on my countdown)

Looks like Girls Rule this year- again!!!
