NEW DELHI: Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman G. Madhavan Nair, involved in the first Chandrayaan mission; noted environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna, Olympic Gold medal winner Abhinav Bhindra, actors Vivek and Tilakan and eminent Carnatic musician Aruna Sairam were among the 63 personalities who were presented the Padma awards 2009 by President Pratibha Patil here on Tuesday.
