ASI & The Waiting

The music here is that of ASI.

The rest is - well, I make lots of different stuff. Blends of music, film, theatre... Most of it through my lil' arts company, CuriousWorks.

The Waiting is ASI's debut album.

It features:
1 singer/writer/producer/geek + 1 cellist /drone&delay lover +
1 bassist/geek + 1 tabla player +
1 drummer + 1 violinist +
> 3 other singers

It's a diverse collection - each song a journey on its own.

Acoustic folk grows into a beat box romp. Straight-up political hip-hop is followed by 22-beat indie rock. The epic of the album moseys through found-sounds, ambient, trance and rock'n'roll before building into a thundering wall of trans-global percussion.

Yet despite defying classification, The Waiting does contain a constant: personal, passionate lyrics and an boldness that carries you from one sonic landscape to the next.

Who wants to hear the same song twelve times anyway, eh?
