review about live-set on foundationkl.org

"DIE WALKÜRE
Music in Leipzig, Germany may conjure up thoughts of classical composers like Richard Wagner and Johann Sebastian Bach to those steeped in tradition, but what many may not know is that Leipzig has a burgeoning scene of electronic pioneers and innovators with a penchant for blistering analogue bass belches, decimated high hats, and industrial snare hits. Aura Kamikura, aka Janina Otto, and the Global Noise Movement, are amongst those leading the way.

Aura has graced us with a micro-set from a Live session at Moritzbastei featuring tracks from Reformed Faction, Sonic Subjunkies, Mlada Fronta, Celluloid Mata, DJ Hidden, Ammo, Overcast, and 13th Hour. The set is organic yet logical and leads you through a journey of industrial, haunting, and sometimes, frightening intensity.

I think the DJ and producer, explains her take on music best in her own words:
I find it admirable that this scene is so wide: from techno to trance, from breakbeats to industrial and rhythmic noise. So I never can make a strict decision what to play. My sets differ from hard breaks, dark d`nb to industec, electro and rhythmic noise and also idm. Despite of this I would name everything which is produced with nous and sense as 'intelligent dance music.' "
