l´Aureola http://virb.com/aureola Hello oh dear visitor! I am Laura Serra and a german/italian/french - graphic designer. I was born in germany to 2 wonderful sardinian restaurant owners, Maria and Salvatore. As my mother grew up in france, I can talk fluently french, italian and sardinian (and of course in german). With music & at school I learned english which is my fave language since I began listening to music. Yeah, languages. It's not like "ooh watch me, I can talk all these languages!" ... no. I'm more of the confused talker type. "blabla-what's the word for.. damn I know it in french... *substitute*- blabla"... Maybe that's why I became an illustrator xD I make collages of some thoughts I can't tell. I don't think anyone actually understands, but hey.. it's art. Noone needs to explain art.. It must be lovely thats all.. 2000 - 2003 I made an apprenticeship as a digital media designer and noticed, that I wanted to go further in this sector. So after having my diploma, which is now called "Mediengestalterin in Digital- und Printmedien in Fachrichtung Mediendesign" I noticed that I knew nothing about Design so from 2003 ’til 2006, I visited the vocational college "Carl-Hofer-Schule" to learn more about graphic arts design. This education lasted again three years, but then I got a new diploma! From 2006 until now I work as a freelance graphic-designer and illustrator for different companies. Mainly I draw with pencils, 0,5mm markers, ink, blood (kidding!!), watercolour and coffee. My actual love is combining collages with drawings, drawing with my grahic pen tablet .., like you may notice in my flickr sets ... well, I'm always trying new techniques. Mmhm. This is no real portfolio, I know. It's just some kind of substitute for er.. a real portolio that will be online one day.. till then you have to watch my stuff on Flickr.
