VIRB

Thursday is here, and there are several reasons that I am annoyed and irritated at the moment. They are as follows:

• My hair is big. I don't know if it is the spring humidity or the fact that I have a biological hair flaw that renders me looking like some sort of dandelion-gone-bad.  But in either case, it is big and brillo-like, and I am sick of it. I'm thinking of going GI Jane.
• My dog is in heat. Not that Maggie's cycles are news you all want to hear, but the fact is we have simply not been able to afford to get her fixed. So, we now have to deal with her being all lazy and irritable, and fear being pummeled by every male stray in the neighborhood the second we take her outside.  Maybe I shouldn't complain. I've never been one to be pummeled with male attention.
• Puggles are expensive.  But I want one! I WANT ONE!  Maybe when we visit Ohio on our vacation/family visit/puppy search, we'll get lucky and find one we can afford.
• I'm losing all my auctions on Ebay. I'm tired of bidding on skorts, comic books, and reference books, only to lose them by a nickel in the end. But I'm too lazy to go shopping, and too broke to buy new stuff. So, I guess I'll have to deal.

For these reasons, among others, I am irritated and annoyed today, and generally not the kind of person you'd want to be around today. I should be happier, considering Joey is meeting me for lunch, and Survivor is on tonight, and I may have two new editing contracts on the horizon - but there is something about bad hair and excited dogs and expensive puppies and lost skorts that seems to override any chance at a good mood...guess it's just one of those days.
