â¦and so I ranâ¦
It's Wednesday, and I haven't blogged for two days, mostly because I've been stuck in Exchell. Yes, I spelled it like that on purpose. It makes me want to kill Bill Gates by implanting a toggle key on his forehead and pressing it over and over and over again. Cells, columns, sorting, tabs, UGH.![]()
Mother's Day was fun, as I spent the morning lazing around the house watching Jack Frost with Cissy, and then Joey brought me home chocolate and flowers when he got off work. We then went over to Mike and Vicky's and enjoyed a delicious roast that Mike made, finishing off just in time for me to catch the Survivor finale. It would have been a perfect day if anyone other than the final three were the final three, and Ozzy hadn't made such a ridiculously sappy speech to Amanda and Parvati (who's last name is actually "Shallow", ironically) hadn't been given a million dollars to lie, be lazy, and manipulate people with her bikini. And, I won't say I was thrilled by the announcement of the next season, because they've been to Africa before - I don't see why they don't just do a full 180 and take people to some frozen tundra. THAT would be a season to watch. But at least the hot grave digger James walked off with another $100,000 because people like him so much. I wish people liked me enough to give me $100,000, but then I don't have abs like his.

The rest of the week has been pretty much a blur. Besides dealing with spreadsheet agony at work, I haven't been up to much. There is a potential for two or three more editing jobs, and I've promised a book review of Tenerife: Tall Tales with a twist for British author Tony Thorpe, in hopes that he may contract me to be the copyeditor for his next book, Robots Included. I've spent quite a bit of time in Ebay this week looking for some summer clothes, and at the Springfield News-Sun Classifieds looking for a souvenir puppy that we can bring back when we visit Ohio. I also helped Cissy pack her suitcase for the trip, and am working on cleaning up the house and catching up the laundry before we go. Like I said - a blur.
Now, I had better to get back to work, because during my long tenure in Excel, my normal day-to-day duties have piled my in-box up in stacks. So, I think it's off to the coffee pot for me. Besides, my raspberry Zingers awaitâ¦and like most things in life, they are better with coffee.
