Autone was born in the end of 2006. After some recordings with some female singers and some other musicians, the band turn his way of making pop music into an experimental french speaking music. Nowaday, Autone is further away from the early recordings. Autone win the contest Puredemo in March 2008 and the song "Banana Revolver" is broadcast on Pure FM. Compared to Arab Strap (for the use of minimalist drum machine), Sonic Youth (because the guitar player is making strange chords), Diabologum (because the singer is not singing) and Tortoise (for the same reason), they have played with L'Enfance Rouge (I), 31 Knots (US), Putan Club (I), Alps of the New South Wales (Aus), Zurich against Zurich (I)...

Autone est né fin 2006, entre Liège, Bruxelles et Andenne. Pour ses premières maquettes et "expérimentations paradoxalement pop", le groupe a fait appel à des musiciens issus du métal, du jazz et de l'électro. Après une première démo officielle dominée par un son électro pop en français, enregistrée avec Mayou, la voix du premier album de Superlux, Autone donne, dans ses nouvelles compositions et sur scène, plus de place aux expérimentations et aux recherches sonores. En mars 2008, Autone est lauréat Puredemo. Leur chanson "Banana Revolver", traité ironique sur leur ambition pop révolue, est programmée sur Pure Fm. Dans la foulée, d'autres radios embrayent et diffusent Autone sur leurs ondes. Comparé à Diabologum, Arab Strap, Tortoise et Sonic Youth, le groupe a joué, entre autres, avec l'Enfance Rouge (I), 31 Knots (US), Putan Club (I), Alps of the New South Wales (Aus), Zurich against Zurich (I)...
