Lest you just joined us I am a huge fan of Remember the Milk for managing To-do lists and all of the various deliverables for which my department is responsible. (whew, just avoided a dangling participle there). Today I added a few more channels to siphon information into this system.
First is Remember The Milk for Quicksilver. Quicksilver is by far the best addition you'll ever add to your Mac setup. At its least it is an application launcher. As you delve deeper it can interaction with multiple services and information sources on a command-line level. Example. From anywhere on my computer I now do this:
Control+space = bring up Quicksilver
"." (starts text input)
"this is a thing I need to do" = type in my to-do list item
TAB (moves to the actions list)
type "R" = sets that text to go to my online to-do list, RTM
Enter = submits that to-do list item to my list
From there, I have that to-do item available in Gmail as a sidebar widget, on the RTM site, or on my iPhone in the application.
And if you really geek out (or use Firefox and Windows, thus don't have Quicksilver available) you can now install RTM for Ubiquity or one of their many other services.
